Our mission is sustained by a unique giving model powered by our thrift stores, generating the reliable revenue that funds our programs and keeps overhead covered. Underlying it all is a foundation of Christian faith — guided by the fruit of the Spirit and a calling to put belief into action through compassion and service to others.


Our History

Since the very beginning, CommunityAid’s mission has been focused on giving back.

2009

We started as a local thrift store with a mission to give back. Driven by the generosity of our shoppers, this model has since provided over $26 million to local charities.

2020

As our community's generosity grew, we officially launched the CommunityAid Foundation to better organize and focus our financial support for local nonprofits.

2025

The Foundation became its own independent organization. This milestone allowed us to invite new donors to join us and team up with more local nonprofits than ever before.
