Funding and Feeding Families

After becoming partners in 2016, we have been able to work together with Conestoga Valley Christian Community Services (CVCCS) to make a tangible difference in our community. By providing food, clothing, mentoring, and ministry in the name of Jesus Christ, CVCCS helps their struggling neighbors sustainably improve their quality of life.

CVCCS has been investing in their community since 2010. Initially focused on meeting the most immediate needs, they partnered with local churches to relocate food and clothing banks to one location to enhance their efficiency. Since then, they have grown to offer financial assistance, mentoring, and counseling to increase their impact.

Specifically, CVCCS offers a Back-on-Track Program that enables Conestoga Valley district residents to apply for financial assistance to help cover rent, car payments and repairs, utility bills, and medication. Funds are specifically allocated to working individuals and families that still need additional support. People who receive funds must come to three free budget counseling sessions to encourage long-term change.

CVCCS’s Food Bank serves 925 families annually. It provides milk, eggs, and meat along with shelf-stable items, including canned fruit and vegetables, soup, and cereal. This ministry provides significant support to those struggling with food insecurity, helping them experience the love of Christ.

Fulfilling Our Calling

The CommunityAid Foundation has been able to come alongside Conestoga Valley Christian Community Services and support their incredible work through our grant, Care Card, and donation programs.

We have supported both the Back-on-Track Program and CVCCS’s Food Bank through our Grant Program. Since 2023, we’ve been able to provide over $40,000 toward these important programs as well as their Weekend Blessings Program, which provides weekend meals.

These funds are making a dramatic impact, not only serving the community but enabling CVCCS to continue to expand their programming. In 2025, their Food Bank’s capacity grew by 27% from the prior year, supporting over 3,500 individuals that year.

Since 2024, we’ve also provided $2,400 in Care Cards to supplement their Clothing Bank offerings, helping our neighbors in need receive additional support through our thrift stores. These $25 store vouchers provide the dignity of choice and allow recipients to pick items that meet their personal needs and taste. This has let CVCCS supplement their support for nearly 100 additional neighbors in need!

Additionally, CVCCS is using our Donation Program to exchange unwanted or unneeded clothes and items for unrestricted funds. This provides additional and reliable financial support that provides added flexibility for CVCCS to meet internal and external needs.

We are so grateful not only for CVCCS’s work but also their inspiring heart for ministry. Through our collaboration, we are feeding and clothing our neighbors in need, fulfilling the calling in Matthew 25:35-40.
